I have to be honest with you. I met Karen and Andrea for the first time on a rainy winter day. It is quite ordinary to meet the couple off the wedding season and this time we met last October. Perfect timing for an August wedding the year after. Well you do not expect a perfect day weather wise, during site inspection but to have the sun on our side helps us a lot, for the mud and for the imagination of the future bride and groom.
Well we had the most terrible weather on the first day of our travelling around Tuscany to find the perfect venue. We reached Villa La Foce under heavy rain and it did not stop a single second. We were not able to see the view and not even able to walk properly through the lower garden. We saw other venue that day and the day after and those other where even in the sunshine. So I was not thinking that they could pick LA FOCE, but they did.
We needed a super special place and La Foce is simply extraordinary with its amazing garden. Before the wedding weekend, Karen was able to fly a second time to Italy ( they live in NY) and believe it or not it was raining again once we reached La Foce.
Well on the day we had an amazing weather, not too hot, to be August, simply perfect as Karen and Andrea deserved.Destiny?? No. It could not be. I said: “for sure we will have sunshine on the wedding day!!” and I crossed all my fingers!!
